First lesson, Gavin worked with everyone involved in the first half of 'The Story of The Little Begger' while myself and the rest of the group sat watching and annotating our scripts: putting in stage directions, character elements and intentions. I found annotating my script really helpful as I now know when everything happens and where everyone is supposed to be. I can now also look back on my annotations if I get confused about what I am doing or where I am in a scene.
For the second lesson I continued to annotate my script with stage directions and movement. The third lesson the whole class was invloved in, as we needed to create the second half of the story.
Gavin helped us devise the ending to 'The Story of The Little Begger' creating a hanging of three different people for the death of the Little Begger (Joe), who later on turns out to be alive.
At the end of the story the three that were supposed to be killed receive robes for forfeiting their life. Sharazad then removes The Little Begger and joins the create still image, along with The King, to give the illusion that Sharazad was telling this story to The King and the rest of the cast were just characters in his head.
