She seperated the men from woman and told us that we couldnt speak to the opposite sex for the rest of the workshop. Then, she gave all of the girls a Hijab to wear (a sacred scarf that woman wear around their heads to cover their hair). I didn't like wearing the Hijab as i felt quite restricted and because I feel my hair is a big part of myself and I didnt feel the same with it covered.
Barveene had set up different stations around the dance studio for us to explore:
- Henna
- Eyeliner
- Prayer
- Qu'ran
- Muslim snacks
- Jewelery
- Perfume
- Create a poster
